APPLETON POETRY MOVES TO THE DRAW, MONDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2017!
We’re thrilled to partner with The Feather & Bone Art Gallery inside The Draw – Appleton’s new community Artspace at 800 S. Lawe Street. We’re still near the heart of the city but now down in the flats, just south of College Avenue (near Lawrence University).

NOTE: There is limited parking in front of the Draw; the larger parking lot is on the south side of the building, across the bridge/lock.
Join us for an evening of poetry recited by community members! This is part of the Wisconsin Poet Laureate Recitation project – readings will be videotaped and submitted for inclusion on the Interactive Recitation Map. The Mia Paul Poetry Series at Lawrence University resumes on Monday, Feb. 27th, with Madison poet Rita Mae Reese, whose prize-winning second book, The Book of Hulga, takes on Flannery O’Connor, Simone Weil, and more. Reese will read in the Wriston Art Center Galleries at 7 p.m., with a book-signing and reception to follow. Free and open to the public.

Registration is currently open for the 2017 Writing on the Door: Poetry Conference.
The conference will be held March 23-25, with a keynote reading by Naomi Shihab Nye on Thursday, March 23, 7 pm, at the Door Community Auditorium.
