Calling all readers, any readers, to recite a favorite poem (not your own) by heart. Signed on to recite, so far, are: Cathryn Cofell, Emily Bowles, Nathan Reid, Sarah Gilbert, Chloe Allyn, Alex Hummel, Jake Lenhardt, Austin Segrest, Mary Murray, Lynn Kuhns, Barbara Hines, Elizabeth Keggi, Barb Germiat, Ming Montgomery, Jessica Haessly and Christina Kubasta.

Heather Dobbins will be reading from her latest book, called “River Mouth.” Her poems have been published in Beloit Poetry Journal, Big Muddy, New Millennium Writings, The Southern Poetry Anthology (Tennessee), and TriQuarterly Review, among others. She has been awarded scholarships and fellowships to the Indiana Writers’ Conference, Napa Writers’ Conference, Squaw Valley Community of Writers, Vermont Studio Center, and the Virginia Center for Creative Arts’ workshop in Auvillar, France. She recently began contributing poetry reviews for The Rumpus and other journals. She taught middle school and high school for sixteen years in Oakland, California, and Memphis, Tennessee, where she founded River City Scribes, a creative writing workshop for teens. She is an instructor at the University of Arkansas–Fort Smith.

Bonnie Jo Campbell is the author of the novels Once Upon a River, a National Bestseller, and Q Road. Her critically-acclaimed short fiction collections include American Salvage, which was a finalist for both the National Book Award and the National Book Critic’s Circle Award; Women and Other Animals, which won the AWP prize for short fiction; and Mothers, Tell Your Daughters (Autumn 2015). Her story “The Smallest Man in the World” was awarded a Pushcart Prize and her story “The Inventor, 1972” was awarded the 2009 Eudora Welty Prize from Southern Review. She was a 2011 Guggenheim Fellow.
C. Kubasta will read from her new novella, Girling, a winner of the Driftless Novella prize from Brain Mill Press, which has been described as “a transcendent novella seated in the body that documents and celebrates sexuality, change, and the vital role of female friendship.” Kubasta teaches at Marian University, and writes poetry and fiction.
Bar opens at 6 pm

Millwork is a new online literary magazine, centered in Wisconsin, seeking submissions of poetry and short fiction for 2017/2018. Millwork publishes original poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction prose in English. There is no reading fee. Please, send us only your unpublished work.
