Former CWW board member Paul Salsini reports that his book for children, “Stefano and the Christmas Miracles,” has been published. Set in Tuscany like his novels, it is the story of a grandfather telling his little grandson about the figures in their nativity set and of the miracles that happen to them when they go to Bethlehem.
Paul will have a reading for this book and for “The Temptation of Father Lorenzo: Ten Stories of 1970s Tuscany,” published earlier this year, at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19 at Boswell Books, 2559 N. Downer Ave., Milwaukee, and he will give a talk, “From Journalist to Novelist,” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Villa Terrace, 2220 N. Terrace Ave., Milwaukee (admission is $8 for members and $12 for nonmembers).
The first novel in his A Tuscan Trilogy, “The Cielo: A Novel of Wartime Tuscany,” won first place for fiction from CWW in 2006.
