Annette L. Grunseth, is a part-time freelance writer, retired from a long career in healthcare marketing and public relations. She is a regular contributor to WFOP calendars and has been published in Wisconsin Academy Review, Midwest Prairie Review, Free Verse, Ariel Anthology, Poetry of Cold, Fox Cry Review and Peninsula Pulse. She’s a Wisconsin Badger with a Communications, Radio/TV/Film degree from UW Madison. She prefers quiet sports and grew up in a household filled with word play and writers. Annette says poetry and kayaks are a perfect pairing (after wine and poetry, of course ). She discovered it’s amazing to write poetry while floating among the lily pads in her kayak, thanks to the audio feature on the iPhone Notepad and a good, phone-sized dry bag.
Tori Grant Welhouse received her MFA from Antioch International in London and now lives in rural Green Bay where she is a Regional Director for the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets (WFOP) and coordinates the poetry reading series Imagine! She recently published a chapbook Canned with Finishing Line Press. Her poetry has also appeared in Literary Mama, The Greensboro Review, anderbo.com, Melusine, Verse Wisconsin, Broad!, Glassworks and Split Rock Review. One of her poems received Honorable Mention in Spoon River Poetry Review Editor’s Prize Contest, and she placed third in the Kay Saunders Emerging Poet Contest. She likes the idea of emerging over 50.

CALL FOR POEMS
. . . and out of what one sees and hears, and out of what one feels, who could have thought to make so many sensuous worlds . . . . Wallace Stevens
2017 WISCONSIN POETS’ CALENDAR
Published by the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets
Editors: Francha Barnard and Estella Lauter
Water, Water everywhere, but. . . .
Go for it—not the water but your poems about it, the theme for the 2017 calendar. Keep in mind how pervasive water is in Wisconsin lives. We’re talking here about the liquidstate (including tears), the solid, even the vapor. Maybe the water of your poems is an ingredient in something else; maybe you’re in it. Maybe it’s hot! Interpret the themebroadly and surprise us. We encourage poems that draw on science, philosophy, psychology and politics in addition to waterscapes.
Feel free to submit poems that have already been published elsewhere. If you do, please include full publication information.
Submission Guidelines
Poets must be 18 or over, a resident of Wisconsin or have a close connection to Wisconsin. You do not have to be a current WFOP member to submit.
