The 2012 contest was coordinated by John Lehman, literary editor, Wisconsin People & Ideas, and featured as preliminary poetry judges:

Ice Cream and Literary Readings
Wisconsin Book Festival has scheduled a benefit reading by award-winning Wisconsin writers for April 10, 7:30- 9 p.m., at the Goodman Community Center, 149 Waubesa St. in Madison. Readings by Jesse Lee Kercheval, Susanna Daniel and Michelle Wildgen will be followed by a discussion moderated by recently retired Wisconsin Public Radio “Here On Earth” host Jean Feraca. Also on the agenda are servings of Wisconsin ice cream. All for a requested donation of $25.

Wisconsin Book Festival Set For Nov. 7-11
Dates for this year’s Wisconsin Book Festival are Nov. 7-11, 2012. Yep, November. That’s apparently a first for the festival, which traditionally was held in October. Reason for the change? Football. At least that’s what the WBF news release announcing this yars festival says. Here’s a link to the release:
