Here’s great news about former Wisconsin Poet Laureate Marilyn Taylor:
Her poem, “Subject to Change,” has been selected for Bucknell University’s “poetry path,” which is a permanent outdoor walking path that connects Bucknell’s campus to historic downtown Lewisburg, PA. Here’s how Marilyn says it was described to her: “The Poetry Path functions as a living exhibit of contemporary poetry. Every two years, ten new poems and poets are selected to be featured at ten sites along the path. Visitors are invited to read the poem selected for that site, and hear the poem read in the voice of the poet.” Marilyn says she will be in notable company. Poets who have participated in previous years have included Eavan Boland, Marilyn Hacker, Marie Howe, Yusef Komunyakaa, Naomi Shihab Nye, Natasha Trethewey, and Dean Young.
The installation will be up from August of 2015 until July or 2017.
Let’s join Marilyn in a huge “Woo-hoo!”
