WI Poet Laureate Karla Huston to Speak at WFB Library
Karla Huston, who served Wisconsin writers for 10 years in many capacities on the a Council for Wisconsin Writers Board of Director and as an ambassador to many communities in the state, is speaking Wednesday at the White Fish Bay Library on “Why Poetry Matters”.

Former CWW Board Member Wins Poetry Contest
Wisconsin Poet Laureate for 2009 and 2010 and and former CWW board member Marilyn Taylor is one of two top winners of the 13th annual Tom Howard/Margaret Reid Poetry Contest, which includes a $1,500 prize.
Marilyn and her co-winner Jude Nutter were among 2,435 contest entrants from around the world. The contest is one of four annual competitions sponsored by Winning Writers based in Massachusetts.

'Reflections' Poem is Able Muse Finalist
Former Wisconsin Poet Laureate (2009-2010) Marilyn Taylor’s poem “Accidental Reflections” has been named a finalist in the 2014 Able Muse-sponsored “Write Prize” poetry and fiction contest. It appeared in the Winter 2014 Able Muse Review and the online version was released for the first time on Dec. 20.
